Policies

Spring Weekend is made possible by UConn students’ commitment to creating new, positive traditions while committing to the following parameters:

  • Spring Weekend events are open ONLY to UConn students (including regional campus students); students will be required to present their UConn IDs and Spring Weekend wristbands in order to enter any Spring Weekend event.
  • Students must swipe their UConn ID in order to receive a wristband.  Students will only receive one wristband for the entire weekend.
  • Students, faculty, and staff are expected to respect and comply with all signs, barricades, and orders from UConn police and other security.
  • Only UConn students are permitted in the residence halls on the Storrs campus. Visitors must sign-in and remain with their host. For additional information: Residential Life Guest Policy SW2016
  • UConn students can swipe other UConn students into the Dining Halls if both have UConn student IDs. Exceptions are made for visiting parents.
  • Alcohol is not allowed at any event.
  • Backpacks and large bags are not permitted at any Spring Weekend event.
  • Most facilities will operate on normal hours. See the following document for additional information: Hours of Operation

On-Campus Parking Information

  • Lots “F,” “X” (Farmer Brown’s) and “W,” will be closed Thursday and Friday nights (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.) and all day Saturday.  Lots will reopen at 6:00 a.m., Sunday.
  • The North and South Parking Garages will operate normally (see Parking Services website)

Road Closures

  • There will be road closures for the Glow Up the Night 5K on Thursday, from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. For additional details, see this link: Glow Up the Night 5K Course
  • Hillside Road (from the Jim Calhoun Way intersection to the Glenbrook Rd intersection) will be closed from 5:30 p.m. -10:30 p.m.
