The Spring Weekend Programming Committee is looking for students to help shape many of the events and activities that will be hosted throughout Spring Weekend 2015. Thanks to ideas and contributions suggested by student leaders last year, we hosted events such as UConn KOs: A Basketball World Record, the Food Truck Festival, a Cultural Center Open House, and USG’s #LetthemEatCake : Ace of Cakes Contest! This year, we are open to incorporating even more
events that showcase and celebrate all of the hard work and achievements of Huskies from throughout the year.
All organizations that are planning events and activities from April 23rd
– April 25th
must apply through the Spring Weekend Programming Committee. Organizations can host official Spring Weekend activities or events that are not related.
If your organization applies to host an official Spring Weekend event you will be invited to an interview to explain the event or activity to the Spring Weekend Programming Committee. This is your chance to be creative and apply the flexible concepts of UConn Learns, UConn Cares, and UConn Serves to an event or activity, big or small, that your organization would like to host. Click here to begin the Spring Weekend event submission form: https://uconntact.uconn.edu/form/start/56057
As a reminder, only UConn students will be able to attend the events hosted through these dates regardless of the event’s affiliation with Spring Weekend. If your organization is looking to host an event during Spring Weekend or your organization is looking to hold a regularly scheduled meeting that is unrelated to Spring Weekend, the deadline to submit is Friday, February 13th
We would like to meet with any organizations that have questions or concerns about the application process or would like to know how to get involved with Spring Weekend. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
to set up an appointment with a member of the Spring Weekend Planning Committee!
